Poor smartphone posture puts pressure on spine

A study to be published in Surgical Technology International found when the head is tilted forward, such as when looking at a smartphone, it can put up to 60 pounds of pressure on the cervical spine. Researchers suggest people try to maintain a neutral spine and be aware of their posture to avoid stress and degeneration of the cervical spine.
